OUR MEMBERS:

CACS has four different types of membership to serve our industry.

Store Members:
College and University Stores owned and operated by the institutions they serve, or are privately owned or leased Stores.

Eligibility: Any organization whose method of doing business is satisfactory to the Board of Directors, and whose major business is the selling of books, supplies and/or other merchandise to students and faculties of colleges in California and neighboring states, shall be eligible for active membership in the Association.

Application Fee $75+Scale
Calendar Year/January - December

Associate/Vendor Members:
Vendors providing goods and services to the college/educational store industry.

Eligibility: Firms who engage in providing goods and services to college stores may be Associate members. Any firm that meets the qualifications for membership is eligible for one voting membership in the associate members group meeting held at the Annual Meeting.

Application Fee $75 + $290
Calendar Year/January - December

Affiliate Members:
Secondary educational institutions, out of state institutions or educational institutions not falling under guidelines of full Store Membership.

Eligibility: Any educational institution that does not qualify for full membership under other categories of membership and whose method of doing business is satisfactory to the CACS Board of Directors may join CACS as an affiliate member. Affiliate members receive all services of the association but have no voting rights.

Individual Membership:
College Store Professional

Eligibility: College Store professional not associated with a member store or vendor, or any individual who is not eligible for Store or Associate Membership but who is interested in the purpose of the California Association of College Stores, Inc. may be eligible for membership.

CACS On-Line Newsletter:
Topical articles and industry news make up this publication that reaches all members. Visit us on-line at www.cacsonline.org. Hardcopies are available for a nominal fee.

On-Line Membership Directory:
Containing a wealth of information including: full names, addresses, school and vendor specific details, etc. A touchstone to the entire membership

CACS Listserve:
Get up-to-date- industry and CACS news directly via e-mail as it happens, great source for job announcements and press releases.

Topical Regional Education Sessions:
Progressive and pertinent education sessions offered throughout the year in convenient regional settings.

Networking/Market Analysis:
Meant to specifically address each store and vendor member with the idea of sharing information and providing encouragement to our industry peers. Stores can contact vendors for merchandising and PR ideas, or other peers for store operations advice. Vendors can poll selected stores for input on products and programs. CACS Bag Program:
A highly competitive, cost effective bag program offered to ALL CACS members(Stores, Vendors & Affiliates). This program offers custom imprinted merchandise bags as well as customized promotional bags and storage products. Local California Vendor means Big savings on freight.
